About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator to join our team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. As a key member of our Advanced Technology team, you will be responsible for planning and executing complex technical tasks, providing technical leadership and guidance to team members, and ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Provide and influence architectural direction on OCI setup, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Application Support: Provide support and implementation of Applications in OCI, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Problem Management: Identify, manage, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
  • Cloud Architecture: Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Database Services: Design, implement, and operate Oracle Database Services in OCI, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Workload Migration: Migrate workloads, databases, and data to OCI, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Virtual Cloud Networks: Implement and manage Virtual Cloud Networks, ensuring secure and efficient communication between systems.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Database Administrator in a LINUX/UNIX environment, with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a cloud environment.
  • Skills: Experience and knowledge of Oracle/SQL, sound understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, and experience with RHEL Linux.
  • Education: Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, with a related degree and OCI certification an asset.
