About the Role

GATEWAY LANDSCAPING & EXCAVATING LTD. is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload products and materials from trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
  • Material Movement: Move products and materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick orders and stock products in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products and materials for damage or defects, reporting any issues to management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
