Laboratory Assistant

Dynacare is seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for obtaining quality blood samples and other specimens from patients, conducting patient tests, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain quality blood samples and other specimens from patients using skillful venipuncture techniques
- Conduct patient tests and ensure accurate data entry
- Provide customer service and create a positive patient experience
- Sort and steer specimens, perform ECGs, Holter Hookups, paternity, urine, drug, and breath alcohol collections
- Ensure specimens and supporting documentation are completed as required in SOPs and ready for data entry and transportation to the laboratory
- Secondary School diploma and Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy
- Customer-focused with a genuine care for patients' health
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a level that enables communication of instructions clearly and understandably to patients
