Job Title: Construction Craft Worker

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Craft Worker to join our team at Northland Power Inc. in the Niagara Region. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in the rapidly growing Clean Economy sector.

Job Summary:

This position is part of the Oneida Battery Energy Storage Project, a dynamic and innovative project that is shaping the clean economy. As a Construction Craft Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of energy storage components and assemblies, loading and unloading construction materials, and performing various tasks related to construction site operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete or cement
  • Assist in installation of energy storage components and assemblies
  • Assist in drilling and trenching on construction sites
  • Assist in installation of foundation piles and pads
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
