About the Opportunity

Foremost Universal is seeking a skilled B-Pressure welder to join our team at our north facility in Lloydminster, AB. This role will work closely with Lead Hands, Charge Hands, and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and semi-automatic welding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

∙ Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications

∙ Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), and shield metal arc welding (SMAW)

∙ Operate and maintain flame-cutting and plasma arc cutting equipment

∙ Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits

∙ Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding

∙ Align components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead)

∙ Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws

∙ Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues

∙ Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques

Requirements:

∙ B-Pressure ticket

∙ Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets an asset

∙ Sub-Arc experience a definite asset

∙ Safety training an asset but willing to train as required

∙ Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment
