Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultations
    • Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their massage needs and preferences.
  • Massage Therapy Services
    • Administer various massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations.
    • Assess clients' range of motion and muscle function to develop effective treatment plans.
    • Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans, risks, and benefits.
  • Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of treatments provided to clients.
  • Client Education
    • Provide clients with information on self-care techniques and home care instructions.
Requirements
  • Certification
    • Registration with a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
  • Work Environment
