About the Role

Skeena Gold + Silver is a leading exploration mining company, focused on the restart of the past-producing Eskay Creek gold-silver mine in northwest British Columbia, Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at the Eskay Creek project site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily analysis and maintain production with limited supervision
  • Assist in the development of industry standard assay procedures
  • Report results and maintain documentation
  • Perform manual labor and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Degree in chemistry, mining technology, or a related field
  • 5 years' experience in a mining laboratory or commercial lab
  • Experience with Fire Assaying, Atomic Absorption, ICP-OES, IR S/C, and classical titration & gravimetric methods
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of LIMS
  • Strong commitment to safety and good housekeeping

This is a site-based job, with a two-week on/two-week off rotation. You will be based at the Eskay Creek project site in northwestern British Columbia, with transportation provided from nearby towns and cities. You will be exposed to extreme temperatures and working conditions, but you will also have the opportunity to work in a beautiful and remote location.
