Job Description

As a Solid Waste Technical Advisor at OFNTSC, you will provide advisory and technical services to our First Nation clients on waste disposal site operation, maintenance, and development, transfer stations, and waste diversion initiatives.

This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, troubleshooting and issue resolution abilities, understanding of environmental regulations, and project management skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

  • Post-Secondary degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2–5 years of related experience
  • Sensitivity to the unique needs of First Nations peoples
  • Good project management skills to manage contracts, work plans, and deliverables
  • Experience with solid waste management initiatives development and implementation
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
