Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Attention to detail
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
