About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Ombudsman Ontario. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of environmental compliance and process control in our water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain programs to support environmental compliance, process control, and health and safety requirements for water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate goals.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on environmental compliance and process control.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of operations staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
Requirements
  • Class 3 certification in Water Treatment and Class 3 in Wastewater Treatment.
  • Post-secondary education in an environmental discipline or field knowledge.
  • Valid Class G driver's license.
  • Bilingual in English and French language is required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
