Job Summary:

Verve Senior Living is seeking a skilled Senior Care Professional to join our team at Trinity Lodge. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of individual residents and develop personalized care plans to promote maximum independence.
  • Participate in the pre-move-in and ongoing assessments of residents' health and wellness needs, making recommendations as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident care, including medication administration and treatment plans.
  • Supervise and guide care staff in providing resident care, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Administer medications and provide treatments to residents in accordance with approved standards of care and policies.
  • Respond to emergency calls from residents, providing assistance and contacting professional help as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans that support resident independence and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of nursing observations and procedures performed, completing all required reports.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current LPN licensure in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Previous experience working as an LPN in a healthcare setting is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to work well in a team environment.
