NearSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Canada. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping innovative solutions and driving technological excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • AWS Development: Collaborate with our engineering team to design, build, and improve AWS-based applications, ensuring top-notch quality, performance, and security.
  • Multi-Platform Development: Utilize Python to develop and optimize licensing tools for Windows, macOS, and Linux, leveraging your expertise in multi-platform development.
  • Application Contributions: Assist with desktop and backend development, upgrading components, testing, and fixing bugs to meet licensing integration needs.
  • Testing: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests as part of your code contributions, ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • CI/CD Automation: Help maintain a reliable CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins for seamless integration and testing.
  • Scrum Methodology: Follow Scrum practices to plan and complete development sprints, ensuring timely delivery with minimal overhead.
  • Code Collaboration: Contribute to code commits and peer reviews using GitHub, promoting a collaborative and quality-focused development process.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Python developer, with expertise in multi-platform development.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud-based development to improve licensing solutions.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD automation tools, preferably Jenkins.
  • Skilled in both desktop and web development.
  • Familiar with Scrum and Agile practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
