We are currently seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in London, ON. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and contributing to the growth and success of our company.

In this role, you will work closely with the operation and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes necessary to minimize disruptions to day-to-day operations. You will also collaborate with project groups to develop and implement control system changes, and liaise with third-party vendors to establish a standard data collection framework across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing and implementing Process Control Narratives (PCN) for different facilities
  • Collaborating with the operations team to develop and implement a standardized data collection system/framework
  • Providing technical support to the operations team to ensure seamless integration of control systems

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required. Experience in programming languages for RS View and Wonderware is preferred, along with PLC knowledge and experience. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Oracle, SQLServer, Java, Allen Bradley and Siemens; PLC, Ignition software are also essential.

Strong problem-identification and problem-resolution skills, with Root Cause Analysis training preferred. Analytical, planning, prioritization, execution and problem-solving skills are required. Ability to decipher technical data and explain in English is a must.
