Job Title: Building Inspector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Inspector to join our team at Brampton. As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that buildings and construction projects meet all relevant building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Identify and report any defects or non-compliance issues to relevant authorities.
  • Collaborate with builders, architects, and engineers to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Provide guidance and education to builders and homeowners on building codes and regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and incidents related to building codes and regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. building science, engineering, architecture) an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspection or a related field.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
