Job Summary

Kieswetter Excavating is a leading provider of heavy civil workmanship and site servicing activities. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heavy and light duty trucks, as well as other commercial vehicles, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues, using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
Qualifications
  • 310T Real Seal Certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Construction experience considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Monday to Friday, 7am - 5pm.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Must report to the mechanic shop daily.
  • Some travel may be required.
