We are seeking a skilled Transport Truck Mechanic to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
    • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with commercial vehicles
    • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspections and Testing
    • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues
    • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to our clients, including advising on work performed and future repair requirements
    • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Teamwork and Training
    • Coach and instruct apprentices in the art of commercial vehicle repair
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
    • Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification
    • Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
    • Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement
  • Experience and Skills
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in commercial vehicle repair
    • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical and electronic systems, and hydraulic systems
    • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
