About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team at Intelligent Engineering Design Ltd. as a key member of our design and development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings for various building projects, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools.
  • Design Sketching: Develop and prepare design sketches and concepts for building projects, taking into account client requirements and design specifications.
  • Specifications and Estimates: Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates for building projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Technical Reporting: Write technical reports and specifications for building projects, communicating complex design and construction information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Quality Control: Complete documentation packages and drawing sets for building projects, examining drawings for conformity and errors.
Requirements
  • Education: A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in architectural drafting or a related field.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT.
  • Area of Specialization: Architecture and interior landscaping.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under tight deadlines, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colors. Sitting for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
