Hospital Cleaner

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the hospital's facilities in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.

• Perform thorough cleaning duties, including scouring, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, stripping, sealing, and buffing, to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Operate housekeeping equipment according to departmental procedures and manufacturer's instructions.
• Prepare cleaning solutions as required by procedures and manufacturer's instructions.
• Remove waste from designated areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
• Perform exterior duties as assigned, including handling inclement weather.
• Ensure patient safety and infection prevention and control by adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent acceptable to the Hospital.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer knowledge and proficiency preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis.

• Must be available to work all shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
• Hours of work are subject to change.
• Salary is per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($27.34 per hour to $28.02 per hour).
