About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Sammy's Truck & Trailer Repair Services LTD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair
    • Conduct thorough inspections of commercial transport truck systems to identify faults and malfunctions
    • Repair or replace parts and components as needed to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting
    • Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify complex issues with vehicle systems
    • Work with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to our clients, including advising on work performed and future repair requirements
    • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective repair processes
    • Coach and instruct apprentices as needed
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Work Setting
    • Workshop environment
  • Language
    • English
  • Work Hours
    • 40 hours per week
