Job Description

Overview of Position:

As a Process & Project Engineer at Executive Wing, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing process and equipment improvements. Your key focus will be on defining, planning, organizing, leading, and performing activities involving production equipment and processes to support changes designed to enhance safety, quality, equipment reliability, performance, and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Participate in product development teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes.
  • Conduct manufacturing process capability studies as needed to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the shop floor during required activities and product launch periods to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead and execute equipment and process improvement initiatives, including methods and practices, to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Initiate and lead projects to improve equipment performance, reliability, cycle time, yields, including capital projects and project management.
  • Manage workload priorities and communicate time and cost status and changes to management as needed.
  • Manage and execute the engineering change control process within the guidelines of the existing quality system requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy work standards for processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Engage in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, material flow, cycle times, productivity, and capacity.
  • Work with Safety, Quality, and Production to ensure operator training and proficiency.
  • Improve and develop competencies in core process technologies and maintain knowledge of equipment and manufacturing technology changes.
  • Participate in 5S events and Kaizen-related events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Key Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree or diploma (Technologist and Technician programs will be considered).
  • 2-5 years of experience in a large manufacturing environment (automotive ideal but not required).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology is an asset.
  • Effective project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to understand and apply Lean, analytical, and statistical tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
