Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

Zida Academy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified individual to oversee the daily operations of our childcare center, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, developing and implementing child-care programs, and maintaining a high level of quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a high level of quality care.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
