Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Construction and Maintenance Technician to join our team at Apex Utilities Inc. As a key member of our Operations workgroup, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair gas piping systems, including above-ground and buried pipelines.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on regulating stations and metering facilities.
  • Operate construction and heavy work equipment, including staking projects and coordinating with contractors and customers.
  • Participate in annual maintenance and leak survey programs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a construction-related job.
  • Valid Alberta Driver's license (Class 5 with Air Brake, Class 3 with Air Brake, or Class 1).
  • Ability to perform all necessary physical requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of MS Suite or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS Software.
  • Experience with TelDig or similar software.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Safety certificates, including Line stopping qualification to level 4, Ground Disturbance Level 2, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and H2S Alive and Standard First Aid.
