Social Worker III

As a Social Worker III at Alberta Health Services, you will play a critical role in providing advanced professional duties, including clinical assessment, treatment, and counseling of legally mandated adults within the Calgary Zone. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a continuity in care philosophy, working effectively within an interdisciplinary team to provide therapeutic psychosocial interventions in an individual and group format.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advanced clinical services, consultation to the interprofessional team and patients/families, and supervision of students and team members as assigned.
- Act as a clinical lead, providing leadership in the planning, development, and delivery of services in a specific area, as well as staff development, quality improvement, and evaluation or research activities.
- Establish and maintain liaisons with community partnerships, identify client needs, and connect clients to community resources for discharge/transition and community reintegration.
- Foster and maintain liaisons with outside justice agencies and professionals for the benefit of clients and the program.
- Master's degree in Social Work.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
- Clinical experience working with a forensic mental health population.
- Community Mental health experience working with forensic populations.
- Couples and Family therapy an asset.
- Active working knowledge of Criminal Justice Systems an asset.
