We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at InSync Systems Inc. and play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Requirements Elicitation Sessions
- Work closely with project stakeholders, team members, and end-users to gather and document business requirements.
- Lead Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, and Retrospectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting desired outcomes.
- Ensure Adherence to SI SDLC Project Methodology
- Apply agile, iterative, and waterfall methodologies to manage complex business scenarios and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prepare Session and Elicitation Documents
- Develop comprehensive requirements documentation, including scope, objectives, business problems, and solution context.
- Develop Business Requirements into Solutions
- Liaise with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
- Map Business Requirements into Functional and Non-Functional Requirements
- Assess feasibility and alignment of requirements with business needs, ensuring solutions meet stakeholder expectations.
- Troubleshoot Issues and Develop New Approaches
- Identify and resolve issues, develop new approaches, and facilitate alignment sessions to ensure project success.
- Recommend and Incorporate Best Practices
- Apply industry best practices to analysis, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
- Estimate Time and Resource Requirements
- Accurately estimate time and resource requirements, including human and financial resources.
- Prepare Work Breakdown Structures and Conduct Project Analysis
- Develop work breakdown structures and conduct project analysis using various techniques to ensure project success.
- Review Technology Prototypes
- Evaluate technology prototypes to ensure they meet business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Education
- Hold a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
- Business Analysis Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of managing complex business scenarios.
- Project Management Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing medium to large-size projects, with a focus on agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Agile Methodology Experience
- Proven experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects or one larger complex project, with a strong understanding of agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Vendor Management Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing and holding third-party vendors accountable, ensuring timely delivery and meeting desired outcomes.
- Certifications
- Certification in People Change Management (e.g. Prosci) is considered a plus.
- Additional certification in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban is considered a plus.
- Industry Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT or Telecom is preferred.
