About the Role:

Colas Western Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team in Revelstoke, BC. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment on public roadways, maintaining awareness of your surroundings, and performing daily maintenance and safety checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate, and refill as necessary
  • Maneuver heavy equipment into loading and unloading positions
  • Travel and work out of town occasionally when required

Requirements:

  • Class 5 Driver License
  • Pass a Drug Test
  • Experience operating equipment in construction areas is preferred
  • Ability to perform manual labor
  • Meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
  • Work overtime as required
  • Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
