Job Description

Fed IT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of our virtual environment, as well as managing our Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and CA services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage the VMware vSphere and vSan infrastructure to ensure seamless integration and maximum productivity.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, Entra, SharePoint, and other related services.
  • Collaborate with the network team to optimize and secure the infrastructure, providing support on Cisco Meraki and Cisco Firepower technologies.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions such as Veeam, Cohesity, or Commvault to ensure data protection.
  • Participate in the administration of cloud environments, including Azure and Amazon Web Services, to support our digital transformation strategy.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience as a systems administrator.
  • Relevant certifications in VMware, Microsoft, networking, or cloud computing.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of networking, with experience of Cisco Meraki and Cisco Firepower highly desirable.
  • Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam, Cohesity, or Commvault (an asset).
  • Experience with the administration of cloud platforms such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (an asset).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a constant focus on service quality.
