We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Safety Solution. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications to meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Software Development: Write, modify, integrate, and test software code to ensure high-quality and efficient solutions.
- Code Maintenance: Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required to ensure they continue to meet the needs of our clients.
- Technical Communication: Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation: Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software applications.
- Requirements Gathering: Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements to ensure software applications meet the needs of our clients.
- Specifications Development: Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications for software applications.
- Research and Evaluation: Research and evaluate a variety of software products to ensure we are using the best tools and technologies for our clients.
- Specialized Programming: Program animation software to predefined specifications for interactive CDs, DVDs, video game cartridges, and Internet-based applications.
- Special Effects Programming: Program special effects software for film and video applications.
- E-commerce and Internet Applications: Write, modify, integrate, and test software code for e-commerce and other Internet applications.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure high-quality software applications.
- Accessibility Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Youth Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Veteran Support: Support Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
- Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: Provide workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers.
- Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
