Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes travel compensation and accommodation.

Job Description

As an evening and overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Utilizing sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
  • Ensuring timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe transfers and discharges.
  • Managing medications, narcotics, and supplies, ensuring protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Able to work with individuals who have infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Proof of current immunizations (MMRV) and negative TB skin test within one year.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shift times (8-12 hours) and 'float' between units as needed.
