Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at Ben-Mor. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to load and unload warehouse material, receiving and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock.
  • Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency and safety, following all applicable instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing inventory and cycle count management to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.
  • Inspect and report on machinery and tools within the warehouse to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Inspect and report on the quality of material and product before, during, and following the shipping and receiving processes.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and logistics processes as applicable.
  • Maintain documentation, inventory, and good housekeeping of work area(s).
  • Ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors, reporting concerns or incidents as required.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of previous forklift experience.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
  • Previous relevant experience as a material handler or equivalent in a manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
  • Ability to meet the physical and sensory demands of the job, including manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be professional, punctual, reliable, and willing to learn.
  • Capability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Must have ability to regularly lift, lower, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs with rotation.
  • Must be physically capable of working in various positions for lengthy periods of time (sit, bend, squat, kneel, stand).
  • Commitment to being a team player and actively participating in increasing morale and employee engagement.
  • Reliable transportation is considered an asset.
  • CSA-approved safety footwear.

Working Conditions

  • Permanent, full-time position (following probationary period).
  • Repetitive work requiring various positions.
  • Ability to lift, lower, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs with rotation is required.
