Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Fair Treatment of Clients (FTC) distribution strategy, ensuring that our distribution activities meet our FTC guidelines and ambition. As a key member of our Impact team, you will engage across the enterprise to drive business growth and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement FTC distribution strategies, policies, and practices that impact distribution and create fair outcomes for clients.
  • Identify and communicate enterprise risks and opportunities related to distribution and FTC, and devise strategies to mitigate or capitalize on them.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators for FTC as it relates to distribution, advice, and product development dimensions.
  • Ensure that all sales incentives, promotions, and campaigns meet FTC expectations and evaluate their impact on clients.
  • Ensure that marketing allowances and distribution compensation grid processes meet FTC expectations.
  • Continuously improve the FTC monitoring framework for distribution impacts.
  • Provide thought leadership, advice, and support to marketing, product development, distribution, and business initiatives as required.
Requirements
  • Must be client-obsessed and have deep industry experience, including insurance distribution, advice channels, and strategies, as well as product and pricing strategies.
  • Strong leadership and change management experience.
  • Extensive understanding of insurance distribution channels and strategies.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent relationship management skills.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and leverage themselves across the organization.
  • Proven track record of leading initiatives in insurance distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for Fair Treatment of Clients.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with business units and distribution partners, provide feedback, and coaching to evolve our FTC program.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated experience as a forward thinker and a problem-solver with project management skills and the ability to execute strategic plans.
  • Ability to work independently with good initiative and judgment.
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in a business or related field, and at least 15 years of distribution experience in insurance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with common office software.
