Job Description


This temporary on-call position allows you to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. You will have the chance to learn about the business of mail operations and explore great job opportunities within Canada Post.


Please note that some offices rotate staff, and a temporary Mail Operations Representative may be required to serve the public at a counter, conduct financial transactions, and perform related duties as needed.



Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Operate a computer point-of-sale system
  • Maintain floor displays and merchandising
  • Conduct inventory control and maintain high levels of postal product knowledge
  • Process financial transactions (cash, cheques, debit & credit card payments)
  • Receive, sort, sequence, and batch mail items


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you should have:



  • Experience in customer service in a retail environment
  • Sales experience is an asset
  • Experience working in a production environment is an asset


Additional Information


This position may be considered safety-sensitive under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.



Estimated Salary Range


$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
