Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Réseau de santé Vitalité (employés sans congé maladies). As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures to assess patient respiratory function
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment to administer treatments and provide patient care
- Monitor patients' vital signs during cardiopulmonary surgery and provide critical care as needed
- Participate in research related to cardiac and pulmonary disorders and contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies
- Assist with the preparation of cardiac catheterization rooms and prepare specialized catheters for cardiologists
- Monitor patients' conditions and advise physicians of any changes or concerns
- Perform cardiac and cardiopulmonary stress tests and provide patient education on test results
- Prepare medications and administer inhalers and other treatments under the supervision of a cardiologist
- Program and monitor implanted devices during surgery and provide patient care post-operatively
- Provide information and care to patients during tests and procedures
- Assist with the transport of high-risk patients and provide critical care as needed
- Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
- Sleep medicine training
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certificate
- Registration with the Canadian Association of Cardio-Pulmonary Technologists (CACPT)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Programs (NRP) Certificate
As a Respiratory Therapist at Réseau de santé Vitalité (employés sans congé maladies), you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. You will be required to work under pressure and make quick decisions to ensure patient safety and well-being.
