Job Description

At Mark's Restaurant, we are seeking a skilled Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware while maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet our high standards.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs efficiently.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and effectively.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe working area.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, adhering to food preparation guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
