Key Responsibilities- Conduct project-level inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards
- Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental issues to clients, colleagues, and management
- Develop and maintain internal and external reports, timesheets, and other documentation
- Support Occupational Safety, Health, and Wellbeing strategies
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of jobsites, public areas, and adjacent areas, taking corrective actions to eliminate unsafe acts or conditions
- Assist with on-site incidents, accidents, investigations, and H&S requirements
- Identify opportunities to expand or obtain new client opportunities leveraging CrossSafety Holdings Inc. services
- Certificate or Diploma in Health and Safety, or equivalent training and experience
- Professional designation preferred (NCSO, CRST, CHSC, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of direct onsite safety experience
- Experience in transportation and heavy civil construction is a strong asset
- Working knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Regulations for Construction projects
- Field-level safety audit and inspection experience
- Demonstrated experience in public safety, testing and commissioning, and operational safety, ideally in the transit or rail industry
- Work experience as a representative of the owner
- Proficient with computer applications, tablets, and the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Effective communication, presentation, and consultation skills
- Effective written communication skills and interpersonal skills
