Job Title: Marketing Communications Specialist

Mon Sheong Foundation is a Canadian registered charitable organization serving the Greater Toronto Area since 1964. Our mission is to provide programs and services to meet the needs of our communities.

We are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to develop and implement all English communications and marketing strategies. The successful candidate will oversee the production of communications materials and marketing campaigns, increase the digitization of the Foundation's marketing efforts, and collaborate with the Development and Communications team to enhance Mon Sheong's image while promoting its services, events, and fundraising needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement English communications and marketing initiatives to promote Mon Sheong's work and elevate its brand image.
  2. Oversee the preparation of English communications such as feature articles, press releases, letters, speeches, marketing collaterals, publications, and digital marketing materials.
  3. Manage strategy, activity, content, engagement, and advertising campaigns of social media platforms to enhance the Foundation's digital presence.
  4. Work closely with the PR & Brand Marketing Manager to strengthen mainstream media relations and media pitch activities.
  5. Collaborate with the Fundraising team to produce fundraising campaigns and assist in the solicitation and stewardship of corporate sponsors, donors, and prospects.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
  1. Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or equivalent.
  2. Work experience in corporate communications and marketing, original writing and editing, and some public relations.
  3. Strong English and Chinese communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to translate between the two languages a definite asset.
  4. Strong relationships with media across Canada.
  5. Experience of contributing to fundraising proposals.
  6. Strong management and leadership skills.
  7. Detail-oriented with demonstrated proofreading skills.
  8. Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple tasks.
  9. Ability to think strategically.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  11. Valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle an asset.
