About the Role

Groupe SII is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality standards of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution
    • Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test procedures for different types of tests, including functional, GUI, integration, regression, data validation, and overall system integration.
    • Implement reliable and maintainable test automation solutions to control software regression.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Participate in project planning stages to estimate/plan efforts, strategies, and resources related to verification and validation.
    • Collaborate with the development team, product managers, project managers, and other members of the software group to ensure effective testing and delivery of products.
  • Analysis and Reporting
    • Analyze test results and identify, document, and report root causes of test failures.
    • Work with the development team and defect tracking system to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in software system, black box, integration, exploration, performance, load, and regression testing.
    • Demonstrated experience in software development in C, C++, or C#.
    • Experience with IP network protocols (TCP/UDP/IP).
    • Experience with JIRA and GitHub.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English and French (working proficiency).
