Job Description:

The role of a High-Level Investment Banking Director - Telecom, Media, Technology and Healthcare involves spearheading business development and executing merger and acquisition advisory and equity financing mandates in the respective sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain awareness of industry changes and global economics that impact client bases.
  • Identify potential sources of new business, including companies, countries, and emerging issues.
  • Develop ideas to prepare and present business development pitches with the goal of originating business.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients by addressing their requirements effectively.
  • Create innovative solutions to complex client financing needs.
  • Present business development pitches, which may involve ongoing travel.
  • Cross-sell various Global Banking and Markets products such as DCM, derivatives, F/X, and deposits.
  • Coordinate mandate execution and utilize expertise when necessary.
  • Understand client and market requirements.
  • Manage transaction processes as needed.
  • Negotiate and close transactions with excellent execution skills.
  • Share client information with team members and promote collaborative working relationships among colleagues.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of banking professionals.
  • Set and monitor objectives and performance targets for junior staff.
  • Coach individuals to improve their overall performance and provide regular feedback and performance appraisals.
Requirements:
  • A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, accompanied by an exceptional academic and professional record.
  • An MBA and a CFA or equivalent designation are desirable.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Director, Investment Banking capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen business relations with existing and new clients.
  • Strong leadership skills and a desire to manage and mentor a small group of professionals.
  • Excellent business development skills, as a motivated self-starter and strong negotiator.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, solid research skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A creative thinker capable of identifying potential opportunities.
Work Arrangement:

This position primarily requires onsite work, with an expectation of 4-5 days per week in the office. Domestic travel may be required up to 20% of the time.

Estimated salary: $150,000 - $200,000 annually
