Bayshore Medical Personnel is actively seeking a skilled Clinical Psychiatric Nurse Specialist to join our team in Petawawa, Ontario.

About the Role


We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nurse with three years of experience in Mental Health Nursing to provide high-quality patient care. As a Clinical Psychiatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, conducting counseling sessions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Conduct counseling sessions using evidence-based techniques such as CBT, DVT, or motivational interviewing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspectives
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you must have:



  • A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Mental Health Nursing
  • Certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA)
  • A Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice
  • Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent

What We Offer


Bayshore Medical Personnel offers competitive pay rates, paid on an hourly basis, as well as benefits including medical and dental coverage for full-time employees working more than 22.5 hours per week. This role provides a great work-life balance with daytime hours only, Monday to Friday, no nights, weekends, or on-call shifts.


Estimated Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year
