Job Description

The Product Safety Assurance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with government regulations, customer expectations, and Sofina's Quality by Process philosophy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and inspecting Sofina products, materials, equipment, and production facilities to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Performing quality assurance checks, including CCP checks, GMP monitoring, pre-operational inspections, and prerequisite checks.
  • Operating and calibrating lab equipment according to standard operating procedures and conducting microbiological tests.
  • Participating in internal and external quality audits and operational reviews.
  • Providing training to employees on quality requirements and promoting a culture of quality and food safety within the organization.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A certificate or diploma in quality assurance or a related discipline, with relevant food processing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and quality regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary range between $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. This position offers opportunities for career growth and development within a dynamic and innovative company.
