Purpose of the RoleAs the Test Engineer Co-op, you will support the testing team in all aspects of the testing process, from mechanical to electrical, and concept through execution. The primary goal is to ensure the quality, accuracy, and repeatability of test data to help drive data-based decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications- You are currently enrolled in Chemistry or Material Science degree.
- You have experience in chemical synthesis (lab scale), wet chemistry, and sample preparation.
- You have knowledge in sorption and sorbent characterization techniques using lab instruments (TGA, DSC, DVS, XRD, EDS, PSD, FTIR, Sorption units, breakthrough unit, mass spectrometer, etc.), and data analysis.
- You will participate in material characterization activities relevant to Svante's carbon capture technology and manufacturing methods.
- You will use standard lab instruments and perform scientific data analysis and interpretation.
- You will participate in method development & optimization and experimental uncertainty analysis.
- You will prepare documents such as technical reports, SOPs, presentations, publications, and patents.
