The Respiratory Inpatient unit at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is a dynamic and collaborative environment that provides exceptional care to patients with a variety of breathing-related problems. As a Registered Nurse on this team, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, registered practical nurses, patient care assistants, dietitians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a discharge planner, social worker, a respiratory therapist, a speech language pathologist, a chaplain, unit clerks, and volunteers.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless integration of care, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal care and outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and teamwork
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS certification
- Additional formal educational requirements/certifications as required in department
- Membership in professional association specific to nursing service area
- Computer literacy in current software applications
- Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others
- Demonstrated commitment to the concepts of Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service
