Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Rock N Timber Construction Inc. as a Carpenter Helper.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The successful applicant will be physically demanding, handling heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

The job requires working at heights, navigating noisy and dusty construction sites, and maintaining attention to detail. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding and concrete forms, and assisting with framing houses and building roofs.

In addition to physical demands, this role requires strong communication skills, accuracy, dependability, and reliability. You must be a team player with a hardworking attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete and asphalt
  • Assisting with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Demolishing buildings
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Removing rubble and debris at construction sites
Requirements
  • 1-6 months of experience
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and safety vest
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in challenging environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
