About the Role

The House Person is a vital member of our hotel team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of our public areas meet the highest industry standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain public areas, including restrooms, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;
  • Perform tasks such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and washing windows;
  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner;
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair;
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed;
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects as required;
  • Deliver guest requests and assist with cleaning guest rooms as needed;
  • Assist room attendants with removing dirty linen and garbage from their carts;
  • Assist with robe and linen inventories;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Housekeeping experience is an asset but not required;
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning and industrial equipment and cleaning materials is desired but not required;
  • Ability to lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance;
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces;
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift;
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination;
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays;
  • Ability to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
