Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing device drivers for various hardware peripherals. Your primary goal will be to ensure the software is of high quality and meets the required safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and test device drivers for various hardware peripherals, including UARTs, i2c, SPI, CAN, input devices, touch controllers, storage devices, and networking interfaces.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of our customers.* Develop software following safety standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508, and MIL standards.* Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.* Troubleshoot and debug issues in the code and collaborate with other engineers to resolve complex problems.* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and adapt our solutions accordingly.

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.* Junior to Senior level of expertise in software development.* In-depth knowledge of C and Assembly programming languages.* Experience writing drivers for embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, GreenHills, VXworks preferred).* Prior experience in driver development is essential.* Strong understanding of power management, DVFS, thermal management, and domain expertise with security hardware and firmware.* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
