At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a skilled Millwright Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Millwright Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing scheduled or preventive maintenance in mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety practices and protocols, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You will also have the ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.

Key responsibilities of the Millwright Maintenance Specialist include:

  • Reading and interpreting equipment manuals to determine standard operating and maintenance procedures
  • Performing scheduled or preventive maintenance in mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs of equipment
  • Lubricating all moving parts, including bearings, gears, and shafts, attaching motors, and connecting couplings and belts to precise tolerances

Qualifications for the Millwright Maintenance Specialist position include:

  • Journeyperson Millwright certification
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Millwright, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used as a millwright
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders

Minimum requirements for the Millwright Maintenance Specialist position include:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
  • Basic Rigging Certification
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test

Preferred requirements for the Millwright Maintenance Specialist position include:

  • Aerial Work Platform
  • First Aid
  • WHMIS
