Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Emergine Enterprise Inc.

Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Support clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical well-being.
  • Collect specimens for medical testing, as required.
  • Demonstrate infant care techniques to new parents, promoting healthy development and bonding.
  • Feed or assist clients with feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Mend clothing and linens, as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and comfortable living space.
  • Plan therapeutic diets and menus, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting mental well-being and social interaction.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking to perform tasks and provide care.
  • Fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and flexibility.
  • Physically demanding, requiring stamina and endurance.
  • Repetitive tasks, such as laundry and cleaning.
  • Sitting for extended periods, as required.

  • Walking, as required, to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
