Captain Server

At Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Captain Server to join our team. As a Captain Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

• Provide professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
• Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards
• Assist guests with menu items and answer questions
• Take an active role in training and developing new and existing staff
• Project a pleasant and professional image to guests at all times
• Build and maintain a high level of customer service and staff morale through outlet promotions and staff incentive programs
• Assist management team to develop action plans to improve outlet performance
• Ensure that the outlet is operating within the confines of the ALCB regulations

• Minimum 1 year serving experience required (must include at least 6 months a la carte service)
• Previous leadership experience required
• Valid Alberta driver's license required
• Excellent knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer required
• Pro Serve certification required
• Banquets experience preferred
• Micros POS experience an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
