Carpentry Team Lead

IBX Services is seeking a skilled Carpenter Lead Hand to join our team. As a Carpenter Lead Hand, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of various projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- 5 years or more of experience in carpentry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
The Carpenter Lead Hand will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants. The work environment will be physically demanding, with exposure to dust, noise, and confined spaces.
