We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team at Baker Tilly WCR LLP. This full-time (32-40 hours per week, plus overtime during March and April) permanent position offers opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with and preparation of accounting engagements, including adjusting journal entries, financial statements, and corporation income tax returns.
  • Preparation of client bookkeeping and assistance with personal income tax, T4, WCB, and T5 returns.
  • Supporting various projects and administrative tasks as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience within an accounting or administration office environment.
  • Familiarity with software such as Caseware, TaxPrep, Profile, Doc-it, QBO, Xero, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently within the scope of the position.
