This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for managing all organization-wide data governance and information management activities, ensuring the quality and protection of sensitive data and information assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Maintain Data Governance Framework: Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the organization.
  • Enhance Data Security and Privacy: Protect data from unauthorized access, breaches, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including PIPEDA, CASL, Bill C-27, and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act.
  • Promote Data Accessibility and Usability: Facilitate the efficient retrieval, usage, and sharing of data across the organization, ensuring that data is easily accessible and usable by stakeholders.
  • Support Strategic Decision-Making: Enable data-driven insights and analytics to guide organizational strategy and operations, ensuring that data is used to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in analytics, with 5+ years in a leadership role, and experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of DCAM, DMBOK, and EDM Council, with proficiency in data management tooling, including metadata, data lineage, data catalog, business glossary, data policy, and data quality.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues, including PIPEDA, CASL, Bill C-27, and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
